The Beginning
Where It Started
Norfstarz started in North Long Beach in 2010.
It began as a rap group between me and my brother. We wanted to create something bigger than ourselves and bigger than where we came from.
Back then, people didn’t really respect North Long Beach. A lot of people overlooked us. Some people mocked us. To them, the Norfside wasn’t a place worth talking about.
We felt differently.
We knew there was talent here.
We knew there was creativity here.
We knew there was ambition here.
We knew there were people doing great things that never got the recognition they deserved.
That’s why we created Norfstarz.
We wanted people to be proud of being from the Norf. Proud of where they came from. Proud of who they were.
The Name
Where the Name Came From
The name came from the North Star. When I learned about it, I loved what it represented: direction, purpose, and guidance. We changed the spelling to reflect our culture, our community, and the way we spoke.
North Star became Norfstarz.
I used to joke and say, “We’re stars from the Norf.”
Over time, it became more than a name. It became a mindset.
The Evolution
Built with the Community
What started as a music group evolved into a record label. The label evolved into a brand. The brand expanded into media.
Today, Norfstarz continues to grow through storytelling, music, apparel, books, film, and culture.
The mission never changed. Only the medium.

Norfstarz was never meant to stay in one lane.
Norfstarz is building a future where creators don’t have to wait for permission. A future where people can learn, create, own, and build independently.
